Not to worry about GoDaddy asking for your tpin and 2fa while resolving problems

If you happen to call or chat with GoDaddy to resolve some issues, you might have gone through a strange situation where the rep asks you for your 4-digit pin and then the 2Fa code.

Unfortunately they won’t give you any clarification at first why a 2Fa code is required.

It is extremely difficulty for any of us to give 2fa code to another person, because that is what we learned we should do. It is not to be shared with anyone!

I figured out this is the only way the rep could access your GoDaddy account and they only have the “read” access.

So, there is nothing to worry, just make sure you are calling a GoDaddy rep and the number is GoDaddy’s.  If you have lodged a complaint and have scheduled a call back, make sure you are getting the call from GoDaddy itself.
